Master Stylist & Bridal Artist
Owner
Shayla is the proud owner of Freya Beauty Salon since 2020 and brings over 10 years of experience behind the chair and 15 years as a sought-after hair and makeup artist for weddings throughout New England. Her specialties include dimensional color, bold fashion-forward hues, and customized cuts that reflect each client’s unique personality and lifestyle.
Passionate about creating an uplifting and empowering experience, Shayla loves helping every client feel confident, refreshed, and radiant — with plenty of laughter and good conversation along the way.
Outside the salon, Shayla enjoys life with her fiancé, their beloved dog, and her two boys.
Sue
Master Cutting Specialist
Sue has been cutting hair for over 30 years and is very talented with her cutting. She can help find the right style for your hairstyle and lifestyle.

When she is not in the salon she is with her family and her husky/German Shepard mix. Sue loves spending time in Maine during the beautiful seasons.
Sam
Client Experience Coordinator
Sam is the friendly smile you see when you walk in. She is our Front Desk Support taking care of customers and keeping the salon going.

Sam is assisting Shayla in the salon and enrolled at Empire Beauty School. She is so excited for the beging of her cosmetology career.
Bridget
Independent Stylist
Bridget has been in the industry for many years and has held many roles. She is known for her high energy and dedication to her clients.

Kim
Independent Stylist
Kim O’Brien is a balayage and curl specialist with a lifelong passion for hair. She started out at a salon in 2017 assisting and learning from master stylists before graduating cosmetology school in 2018. Though she is known for lived-in blondes and her signature curl cut, she prides herself in being able to work with every hair texture.
When she’s not working behind the chair, you can find Kim hiking mountains, going to the gym, or reading a good book at home and snuggling with her two cats.
